How to Cook Everything Veg App Reviews

The only reason I didnt give this 5 stars is that I never give anything 5 stars. I LOVE this app... L.O.V.E. Bittmans recipes aint bad either. If I had a choice to buy the book or the app... Its the app hands down.

Easy to understand instructions. Meals that make even meat eaters happy.

Overall a nice app, I had the book as well so Im a little surprised at the substantially lesser count of recipes, however still enough to get you by, great instructions and illustrations! However most recipes dont have pictures which is a big shame, and a bit of a surprise for a $10 app, hope they fix that part, and I would Definitely give it four stars, 5 stars if there would be more recipes .

It works for me by giving me ideas. Of course MB always gives the less experienced a helping hand.

I like Mark Bittmans recipes because theyre straightforward, uncomplicated and simply delicious. I use this app to give me ideas of what to fix to eat when Im too tired to think. Its helpful but would be even more so if there were photos of the dishes, to give my mind a nudge and whet my appetite. Really. This is a multimedia age and this app would be so much better with pictures.

Like a lot of the other reviewers I agree pictures would be nice. The other thing that would be helpful is a better way to search. A table of contents similar to a book would be nice. Right now the browsing is a little tough. A recipe box with categories for your favorites would also be helpful. And yes, more recipes would be nice.

The print edition weighs as much as two bricks. This only weighs a few gazillion protons.

After trying dozens of these recipes for myself and finding what a joy they were, I gave this app to a friend. After four months she is still giving it rave reviews. Truly, this is a gift that keeps on giving – to both of us!

I love this app: well-organized, excellent recipes, common-sense practical approach, interesting and unexpected approaches. Its empowering for a new cook, and surprisingly instructive for an experienced cook. Lots of ways to come across interesting things to eat.

Makes quickly finding recipes and variations easy. Very handy for making a meal with ingredients at hand.

Good recipes, very nicely organized. Makes effective use of the iPad format. Definitely worth the cost!
